Kensington Homes is a participating builder in the New Homes Program with Efficiency Manitoba. We have successfully built several Certified Energy Efficient homes that meet or exceed the minimum energy code requirement  – look for the badge on our move-in ready page. All Kensington show homes are tested by a third party and receive an official EnerGuide label and home energy report from Natural Resources Canada.

Mortgage Loan Insurance – Energy Efficiency Rebates

If you are buying a home with a down payment of less than 20%, you’ll need mortgage loan insurance. This protects your lender in case you can’t make your payments.

If your Kensington Home has been Certified Energy Efficient through the New Homes Program or if it meets Greenhouse Gas Emissions requirements, you may be eligible for a 25% mortgage insurance premium refund from one of the following programs:

You’ll have 24 months from the closing date of your mortgage to apply.
