Kensington’s 50th Anniversary – Meet Our Homeowners
In honour of Kensington’s 50th anniversary, we are doing several giveaways to our new and existing homeowners. As part of the celebrations, we offered families professional photoshoots with Sugar + Soul Photography and we are now sharing their stories.
Our first family was Dale and Caitlin with their three adorable children in Canterbury Crossing. Dale and Caitlin took possession of their Kensington home in spring of 2021. They spent the last 13 years living in the Canterbury Park area.
“We had long since outgrown our existing home and the development in Canterbury Crossing gave us the opportunity to build the home we wanted in an area we love,” said Caitlin.
Their children love their school and the different activities offered in the area. The walking paths and nearby play structure are just another bonus to Canterbury Crossing.
After visiting our show home of the Madison II model, they felt immediately as if it was home.
“No matter if you are cooking, doing homework, or watching a show on the TV – we can all be together as a family in the same spot,” said Caitlin, referring to the open concept floor plan.
The upstairs loft space is also a bonus – they turned it into an additional play area for their kids.
As a homebuyer, approaching the new-build process can seem intimidating and nerve-racking so we focus on working with you to ensure your vision is brought to life. Our experienced teams are here to provide expertise and support every step of the way.
“When choosing all the finishing touches, the Design Centre was amazing in supporting our vision and offering suggestions to ensure that vision came to life,” said Caitlin.
Their agent, Lisa Lawrence, worked with them throughout the whole process answering all questions and making sure they built the home they wanted.
The process of turning a house into a home is different for everyone and every timeline is different.
“Our kids were so excited to see their new bedrooms and hearing their laughter echoing throughout as they explored their new house, really made it feel like home,” said Caitlin.
Caitlin and Dale have spent the last year adding furniture and finishing up the yard to complete their vision when they first started their build.
Thank you to Caitlin and Dale for participating in our 50th-anniversary celebrations and sharing their story. Stay tuned for our next family story!
